Who Am I?

From a site-specific installation to the stage - Evolution Dance Company's original dance work, 'Who Am I?' is a powerful journey of identity, discovery, and transformation.

EDC successfully debuted a shorter, site-specific version of our first work, Who Am I? at Three’s Company Production’s weekend long music festival hosted at BEAM Theatre, Hertford in September. Since then, we've gone back into the studio to expand it into a full-length production for our launch show. After which, we aim to tour it across secondary schools in London and the home counties, making professional level shows accessible to all and inspiring the next generation of artists. 

Who Am I? is inspired by Goffman’s sociological concept of presentation of self. He believed that individuals wear metaphorical masks to allow individuals to conform to social norms, and these masks change depending on the social situation. Like actors on a stage, people adjust their…
